A high‑school diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years old
One (1) year of relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or medically fragile care
A current driver’s license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving your personal vehicle. If a company vehicle is available, you must also be 21 years of age and authorized to drive it
Ability to read, write, and speak English. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

What to expect:
Responsibilities
Assist in the initial and ongoing assessment of participants; collaborate with assigned individuals, their families, and support circles (e.g., social service agencies, health‑care providers) to ensure behaviorally challenged and/or medically fragile individuals can develop and maintain positive experiences while participating in community social programs and daily routines
Identify, document, and provide first‑hand training and developmental support across a broad spectrum of activities (e.g., physical health, personal grooming, mobility, job and personal skills training, effective communication, socialization, coping skills, and other customized interventions based on their Individual Service Plan and Restricted Health‑Care Plan)
Perform basic medical treatment as prescribed and provide first aid as needed; diligently document and complete all reporting accurately and timely
Maintain proactive, open communication with all key stakeholders, advocate for treatment modifications, alternative training methods, and required adaptive equipment
Challenges
Work with diverse disabilities and mental‑health challenges; learn about agencies and resources to provide direct or indirect support
