Responsibilities
Assume personal responsibility for safety and NCLH’s impact upon the environment.
Ensure smooth clearance for all crew in accordance with port requirements and OCI / RSSC policies.
Ensure accurate financial reporting of crew accounting, maintenance of crew systems and payroll compliance in accordance with OCI / RSSC policies.
Facilitate information flow to Department Heads, Shipboard Management and OCI / RSSC Corporate.
Liaise closely with Training & Development Manager / HR Manager on board to maintain good relations and share information.
Guest Experience: Demonstrate a genuine concern for guests’ wellbeing at all times; approach problem solving proactively.
Crew Experience: Demonstrate a genuine concern for crew wellbeing, treat crew members as internal customer; proactive problem solving.
Operational and Administrative: Handle all communications with port agents for crew clearance, prepare clearance papers and crew landing forms, attend ship clearance with Crew Purser, confirm crew figures in MAPS and Fidelio, assist Crew Purser and Crew Administrator with sign‑ons and sign‑offs, maintain all passports and seaman’s books, update voyage reports daily, manage crew cabin maintenance requests, handle crew lost luggage follow‑up with port agents, update victualling and voyage report daily.
Finance: Set up US crew in payroll, collect W4 and US taxes paperwork, prepare expense reports, data entry of expenses, balance payroll journal entry, print and distribute crew pay slips, administer payroll confirmation report, assist with EOM payroll package, manage crew time and attendance system, review crew balance reports and make foreign currency transactions.
Training and Development: Support and guide Crew Administrator, train and coach crew to superior performance, maintain a positive work environment, model excellent leadership behavior, promote Signature Your World Service program.
Safety: Participate in safety drills, comply with company safety and pollution prevention regulations.
Qualifications
Travel industry and previous shipboard experience required.
Understanding of the highest level of service.
Excellent administrative skills; strong leadership skills; outgoing personality, open‑minded and flexible.
Ability to work in an international environment and perform well under pressure.
Well organized; excellent appearance and social skills.
Knowledge of clearance and port regulations (preferable).
Education and Experience
Systems: MS Office Suite; Fidelio Cruise modules; Micros / Symphony POS; MXP; MAPS.
Hospitality background preferred; experience in crew operations preferred.
