At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As a Web Developer, a typical day will include the following duties:

Key Responsibilities

SharePoint Integration:

Utilize the SharePoint framework (SPFx), REST APIs, PnP (Patterns and Practices) libraries, and potentially classic customization methods (e.g., JSLink, custom actions) to extend and enhance SharePoint functionality.

Collaboration & Support:

Work closely with customer stakeholders and program management to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support for existing SharePoint solutions.

Best Practices:

Adhere to established coding standards, participate in code reviews, and stay current with emerging web technologies and Microsoft 365 updates to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.

Required Qualifications Experience: 15 years of professional experience in Web development.

SharePoint Proficiency:

Proven experience customizing and developing solutions for SharePoint (SharePoint Online/M365 required; experience with SharePoint Server 2016/2019 is a bonus)

Technical Skills:

Experience with the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) for building modern web parts and extensions.

Familiarity with consuming SharePoint REST APIs and Microsoft Graph API.

Problem Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Communication:

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with React.js (or another modern front-end library) as the default framework for SPFx projects.

Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate/Flow, Power Apps) for low-code solutions integration.

Knowledge of Power BI for data visualization.

A candidate must be a US Citizen and requires an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
