R14087**Job Summary**To process and package cultures produced at the Freeze Dry plant. To mix, blend,

formulate, and package batches of raw ingredients and materials into finished products.

Combine materials according to formulas, procedures, and quality standardsEssential Duties and Responsibilities• Ensure adherence to all quality systems including, but not limited to, ISO 9001,Food Safety GMP’s, HACCP, FSSC 22000, NSF, ICH Q7, with an understandingof IFF’s Quality Policy and procedures; including ensure adherence of allemployees working in the department.• Comply with all Company policies including, but not limited to, Quality, Safety,Food Safety, Environmental, GMP's, HAACP, and Attendance.• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions to makethe necessary adjustments in the production process, such as adjusting controlinstrumentation, and moving products and raw materials.• Load and unload process equipment.• Recognize atypical/incorrect conditions in the production area and contact theappropriate authority.• Move raw materials, equipment, and final products throughout the plant.• Maintain accurate written records or logs of all productionprocesses/equipment/maintenance/routine cleaning.• Assemble and disassemble production equipment as required by processes andWork Instructions.• Clean, sanitize, and sterilize all production/packaging equipment and otherprocess areas in the plant.• Assist in maintaining process and non-process areas in compliance with currentregulatory agencies.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Must have a high school education or equivalent, a successful work history, theability to work as a team player, and proven mechanical ability.• Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using percentages anddecimals, and be able to utilize the metric system for measurement.InternalInternal• Must be able to read, communicate, comprehend, and follow oral and writtenprocedures and instructions.• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job in a safe and efficientmanner.• Must have the basic understanding of computers to retrieve and enter data on adatabase, communicated via team pass down e-mails and to navigate theinternet for safety training.• Should be able to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to fifty-five (55) pounds, climbladders and stairs, and move throughout the plant; move and maneuver sevenhundred fifty (750) pounds with mechanical assistance.• Must have the ability to reach, grasp, handle, and use manual dexterity tooperate equipment controls.• Must be able to differentiate changes in color, and detect problems withmachinery and problems in the production process.• Must be able to wear proper PPE and Respiratory protection, when required.• Knowledge of production processes, quality assurance, quality control, costs andsite specific quality programs such as GMP’s, HACCP, FSSC 22000, NSF, ICHQ7, etc.Working ConditionWorking ConditionsThis position operates in plant environments. Work is performed in temperaturesranging from negative forty (-40) degrees to seventy-eight (78) degrees Fahrenheit.Conditions may be wet, slippery, humid, and dusty.Must adhere to plant GMP’s and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) asappropriate in accordance with plant policy.We are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
