This is a full-time Commercial Real Estate Advisor role. Responsibilities include prospecting, business development, and transaction management services for users of office, retail, and industrial real estate. An entrepreneurial approach to business is essential.
The role is supported with senior level mentorship and a full array of client services specifically geared towards the occupier including strategy, transaction management, portfolio management, lease management, logistics, capital markets, and construction management.
Our ideal candidate has a proven track record in the commercial real estate industry with existing client relationships that you wish to grow at Cresa. This is not an entry level role, however, those that are new to the industry with a minimum of two years' relevant experience will also be considered. The candidate will interact directly with the Cresa Detroit leadership team and can engage with other advisors and colleagues across our global platform.
This person should possess a strong desire to succeed, have excellent communication skills, be self-starting and entrepreneurial-minded, crave collaboration, and enjoy being part of an energetic team.
Responsibilities
Quickly grasp and understand Cresa's niche market advantages and convey this differentiation in a compelling manner
Demonstrate Cresa's proprietary technology to secure and advise clientele
Learn to discern property attributes their value and how they can provide positive or negative impacts on the client's business operation
Understand and stay current with market trends, tenant/buyer movement and deal points
Prospect for new client relationships
Canvass southeast Michigan market for users of office, retail, and industrial real estate who would benefit from Cresa's services.
Perform various financial analyses
Source comps and maintain comp database
Attend industry events
Compose market surveys
Compose and negotiate RFPs, LOIs, and purchase / sale agreements
Qualifications
Michigan real estate license
Bachelor's degree
Valid driver's license
2-4 years of relevant experience in successful business development with proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships
Excellent computer skills and comfortable with internet-based researchEffective communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills
Project a confident and professional appearance and attitude
Strong work ethic and desire to work in a commission-based environment
Desire to make occupier-focused real estate a career choice
