Position Summary:

Responsible for day‑to‑day operations in Barberton's Cast House. The role provides administrative support to the department and works to ensure BU metric goals (Safety, Quality, Production) are met. Accomplishes manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees. Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures. Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages the activities of assigned employees. Conducts training, recommends adjustments to pay, completes performance appraisals, initiates timely corrective action, including attendance/tardiness. Essential Duties: Ensures safety of all personnel in or around department on all shifts. Places a high priority on coaching employees by establishing suitable goals, action plans and timelines. Delegates and provides ongoing guidance and support to employees as they complete their action plans. Acts as a role model and mentor for direction and development of employees. Ensures employees have appropriate and realistic job goals by providing ongoing feedback. Troubleshoots issues interfering with production. Assists with problem solving and utilizes corrective action measures to prevent problem reoccurrence. Schedules machines and set‑ups in coordination with Plant Manager and supply chain to ensure production quotas are met efficiently. Works to maintain product quality on all shifts so that product meets quality standards. Verifies and dispositions questionable product to determine acceptability; ensures all assigned quality requirements are met. Coordinates with production to schedule quality inspection personnel for proper quality support. Approves and submits hours for payroll. Additional Duties: Enters work requests into the system. Oversees 5S activities for assigned shift. Assists Engineering Department in finding best possible tooling and processing methods to ensure product quality and process efficiency. Work Schedule:

Crewing schedule (2 working days, 2 off days, 3 working days, 3 off days). Physical Demands: Lifting/Pushing/Pulling: Moderately heavy – limited to 40 pounds. Standing/Walking: 80% or more of workday. Bending/Twisting: 20% or more of workday. Temperature Extremes: Frequently (50%-80% of workday) in non-climate controlled production environment. Noise: Hearing protection required at all times in shop and on production floor. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience. Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available. Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous foundry experience. About Us
