Rotating day shift schedule (6:30am-3pm and 11:30am-8pm)

Overview Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The Plaza Shop is located in the main lobby of Barnes-Jewish Hospital south. The Plaza Shop is available to patients and visitors to purchase items such as parking passes, snacks, cards, candy, stamps, specialty gifts, personal items, books, magazines.
Role Purpose The gift shop lead acts as support to the gift shop manager in the daily operation of the gift shop. The lead helps to coordinate and organize the gift shop duties.
Responsibilities Performs cash functions including ringing sales, maintaining paperwork, ensuring product knowledge and providing receipts. Provides excellent customer service by assisting customers, resolving problems and meeting customer needs in a manner that is timely and reflects positively on the shop. Oversees shop operations and delegates duties as necessary. Ensures appearance of shop by stocking, straightening, organizing and cleaning appropriate areas.
Minimum Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 2-5 years
Supervisor Experience: No experience
