Position Summary
The Senior Program Manager is responsible for overseeing new product development programs from their initial stages through to launch. This role requires the coordination of cross-functional activities across multiple related projects that align with strategic business goals. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining detailed program timelines, tracking progress against established milestones, facilitating risk management discussions, and ensuring stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Program Manager will manage team members indirectly, collaborating with individuals from various departments, organizations, geographical regions, and cultures to drive program success. While there are no direct reports, this position requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to influence and motivate teams without direct authority.
Success in this role will be measured by on‑time program delivery, achievement of defined business objectives, and positive feedback from cross‑functional partners. Superior interpersonal and problem‑solving skills are essential for effectively leading complex initiatives and ensuring successful program outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide executive‑level program updates to senior management and executive sponsors
Lead end‑to‑end program management, following the New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) Process.
Develop and monitor systems for reporting and tracking to ensure projects meet schedule and cost objectives
Coordinate resource allocation and sharing among cross‑functional team projects
Identify and mitigate key risks through effective contingency planning
Work with functional management to secure required resources
Foster cross‑functional collaboration and maintain stakeholder communication at all levels
Drive alignment between program scope and business objectives
Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to ensure product requirements and specifications satisfy customer needs
Maintain and update project documentation as needed
Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (preferred) or Business
8-10 years of work experience in NPDI Project/Program Management
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required or willingness to obtain
Experience working with or leading international teams
Strong knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes
Excellent people and communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
Must possess both strategic thinking capabilities to understand broader business implications and the analytical mindset to thoroughly investigate and resolve detailed technical challenges.
Competence in Microsoft Project or similar project management tools
Proficient in English, both verbal and written
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Datacenter Air Conditioning Products
Background in the HVAC sector
Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma (LSS), or Design for Six Sigma (DFSS)
Master of Science (preferred) or MBA with 10-15 years of relevant experience
Understanding of accounting, purchasing, and ERP/MRP systems
Experience with Agile project management methodologies
Physical & Environmental Demands
Primarily office‑based work environment
Time Travel Required
Occasional domestic and international travel is required, up to 10% of the time
