The

Event Technology & Platform Administration Manager

is responsible for owning, governing, and delivering the organization’s event technology platforms, with a strong focus on

Cvent administration

and

end‑to‑end event technology execution .

This role blends

platform ownership and backend configuration

with

hands‑on program delivery , supporting registration websites, event mobile applications, and onsite event technology. The ideal candidate is both a system owner and a problem‑solver who thrives in live event environments.

Responsibilities Platform Ownership & Administration

Serve as the primary owner and administrator of the Cvent ecosystem, including configuration, templates, workflows, and permissions

Establish and maintain platform governance, data standards, and reporting readiness

Manage backend workflows, integrations, and platform enhancements

Communicate Cvent updates

Act as an escalation point client issues and update requests

User access control oversight

Key contact for Cvent reps for project delivery requests & platform updates

Event Technology Program Delivery

Build and deploy registration websites, event mobile apps, and onsite check‑in solutions

Support program teams through testing, launch, and live event execution

Ensure reliable technology performance and accurate real‑time data capture

Continuously improve attendee experience, efficiency, and scalability through technology

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Event Technology or Event Operations Technology

Strong interest in technology, desire to stay current in event technology offerings and developments, and ability to adapt to new technologies quickly

Strong writing, proofreading, design, and communication skills

Ability to maintain strong relationships with internal team members, clients, and vendors

Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Strong work ethic, as well as strong organizational and time management skills

Strong customer service focus

Keen attention to detail

Ability to work well under pressure

Proficiency in implementing AI technology to create efficiency in process

Solid understanding of web development environments, sufficient to understand the implications of issues within web‑based applications

Physical Requirements

Approximately – less than 5% overnight travel

Must be able to work weekends and nights during travel periods of program operation or client meetings

Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Community College or Technology Institute education required

Graphic design ideal

Experience in event technology solutions

Experience in developing and managing projects

Experience preferred in the following platforms: Cvent, STOVA, Virtual Event Platforms, Concur, SaaS applications with an emphasis on Smartsheet, HTML, CSS, Database Management, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite/Creative Cloud, Windows, OS X, Android, iOS
