Job Description AECOM Advisory is seeking a dynamic Manager to support the commercial evaluation, economic justification, and business case for investments in supply chain, freight and logistics. The selected candidate will work with senior‑level clients and executives on the full value chain for infrastructure, built environment, and community vibrancy projects.
This role will:
Provide experience and expertise in supply chain management, industrial development, logistics and distribution‑related project execution.
Build client relationships and manage interactions throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Coordinate inputs from regional leadership, Directors, Client Account Managers, and technical experts to flag key delivery choices, considerations, and risks.
Independently tailor existing/proven analytical frameworks and methodologies for client‑specific needs.
Conduct business modeling (market sizing, segmentation, penetration, adoption) and investment analysis by building custom discounted cash‑flow (DCF) Excel models to calculate financial performance or cost‑benefit analyses (CBA).
Conduct stakeholder interviews, including with C‑suite clients and senior management stakeholders.
Be responsible for delivery with a subset of public and private industrial, port, and goods‑movement clients seeking supply chain consulting expertise.
Collaborate with leadership on strategic growth initiatives such as industrial development, advanced manufacturing, automation, future of logistics, energy transition, and digitization.
Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will bring problem solving, data analysis, project management, risk analysis, and demonstrated expertise in supply chain and logistics. Key skills include:
Transportation and logistics operations understanding, including global logistics exposure.
Multi‑modal logistics exposure across rail, ports & maritime, air, and truck.
Industrial and economic development experience, including brownfield and greenfield projects.
Supply chain problem solving, resiliency and risk management.
Data analysis and complex data interpretation.
Technology proficiency: supply chain software, ERP systems, data visualization tools, and basic AI.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Management Sciences, Economics, Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Transportation & Logistics, or a related field.
Minimum 6 years of relevant supply chain or logistics experience; or demonstrated equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
10+ years of related experience.
5+ years of project management or consulting experience.
Deep experience with global trade, operations, and supporting infrastructure.
Experience developing cash‑flow models for investment decisions.
Broad experience across planning, procurement, manufacturing, distribution, and enablement.
Additional Information This position will not offer sponsorship now or in the future. Offered compensation will be based on education, qualifications, experience and work location, with a range of $90,000 to $130,000.
