Regional Operations Manager - Ohio
RamClean Commercial Cleaning & Janitorial Services, Cincinnati, Ohio, United States, 45208
Regional Operations Manager (ROM)
Ohio - Cincinnati to Columbus
About Us RamClean is not your average cleaning company. We combine advanced technology, top‑tier equipment, and elite teams to deliver reliable, premium service. We don’t race to the bottom on price — we win on reputation, results, and relationships. We’re one of the fastest‑growing privately owned companies in the commercial cleaning industry, and we’re looking for a Regional Operations Manager (ROM) who’s ready to lead leaders, drive performance across multiple branches, and keep our clients satisfied. If you’re a strategic operator with strong leadership instincts and a passion for building high‑performing teams, this could be your perfect next move.
Who We’re Looking For This isn’t a desk job — it’s a leadership role for someone who can balance strategic oversight with hands‑on involvement.
Thrive on building systems and teams that scale.
Keep financial discipline front‑of‑mind while still prioritizing client satisfaction.
Are comfortable holding leaders accountable to standards, safety, and results.
Believe in doing things right the first time — and coaching others to do the same.
Your Mission
Own regional outcomes: client retention, coverage, quality, and margin.
Lead and develop Supervisors, Leads, and Floaters to deliver consistent, high‑quality service.
Drive operational cadence, enforce standards, and maintain safety.
Keep management payroll lean (≤ 8–10% of revenue) while meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
Build a strong talent bench and clear promotion pathways across your region.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Cadence: Run weekly Supervisor 1:1s, site audits (2–4 per week, including one late shift), and on‑time weekly reports.
Coverage System: Enforce escalation procedures (cleaner → local floater → cross‑floater → supervisor), monitor call‑off SLAs, and address root causes.
Quality & Client Health: Improve inspection averages, resolve escalations, and own QBRs for key accounts.
P&L Discipline: Track labor %, OT %, and management payroll %, approve changes that impact cost or SLA, recommend pricing/scope adjustments.
Workforce & Bench: Right‑size Supervisor counts, build succession plans, and coordinate training with Implementation & Safety.
Territory Design: Optimize routes to reduce windshield time and balance oversight between day/night shifts.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure toolbox talks, PPE compliance, and CAPA closure; support incident investigations.
Standards & Tools: Enforce usage of Swept (time, photos, communication, supply requests) and keep data current.
Key Performance Goals
Client retention ≥ 95% in region.
Coverage rate ≥ 99%; call‑off SLA ≥ 95%.
Inspection averages ≥ 90%; repeat issue rate.
Management payroll ≤ 8–10% of revenue.
Overtime % within targets, with mitigations in place for variances.
Vacancy fill time ≤ 7 days with a stable floater bench.
Supervisor retention ≥ 90% with successors named for key roles.
100% on‑time weekly reports; 2–4 audits per week (incl. one late shift).
Qualifications Required:
4–7+ years in multi‑site service operations leadership (janitorial/facilities preferred).
Proven ability to coach and elevate Supervisor performance across multiple branches.
P&L awareness: labor planning, OT control, and territory optimization.
Strong client communication, escalation management, and data‑driven decision‑making.
Working knowledge of safety practices, EHS, and CAPA processes.
Proficiency with Swept or similar workforce tools.
Valid driver’s license; 30–40% regional travel; ability to work occasional evening/overnight audits.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, in compliance with applicable laws.
Experience with cleaning equipment such as floor scrubber and carpet cleaners.
Ability to drive golf carts, forklifts, and other small machinery like ride‑on scrubbers.
Preferred:
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Experience managing regional budgets and KPIs in a service‑based business.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary aligned to region size and complexity.
Performance bonus tied to retention, margin, coverage, inspection, and OT targets.
Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.
Group & Additional Life Insurance.
