The Programme Manager is based within the UK Submarines Focus Area of our client's Mission Systems business. Our client is a trusted provider of integrated solutions for global defence and security. We have a wide portfolio of best‑in‑class intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance solutions, communications, and weapons launch and handling solutions across all domains, integrating the best of industry to meet our customers' needs.
Role Overview and Responsibilities As the Programme Manager, you will lead our mission‑critical, high‑profile, and complex programme with change and transformational elements. Your key responsibilities include:
Leading a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver systems for the UK's national deterrent Platform, the Dreadnought class SSBN.
Managing programmes in support of delivery of large and technically complex equipment/system contracts, preferably for MoD and commercial customers.
Providing leadership, guidance, and support to a large team to meet delivery commitments and financial goals.
Interacting directly with the Customer, ensuring their awareness and confidence in our client's delivery remains high.
Developing and implementing business cases, delivery plans and growth strategies.
Essential Experience
Strong level of Project and Programme Management knowledge, with a proven track record in delivering complex engineering programmes from design through to manufacture with complex supply chains.
Degree or equivalent qualification / experience.
Recognised project management qualification such as APM PMQ, ChPP or equivalent.
Eligible for SC level (UK) security clearance.
