Senior Analyst – Forecasting

Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore
Shift: 2 PM -11 PM IST, Hybrid (3 days a week in office)

About the role The Forecast Senior Analyst works closely with the GI BEx/ GA& I Forecast Leader and Commercial teams to develop brand forecasts (revenue, volume and patients) for strategic brands and early assets for Global (focus on Top 8 markets) or US. You will play an important role in this process, understanding the assigned therapeutic area and brand, setting expectations for performance and guiding brand strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the timely delivery of robust and transparent demand forecasts for strategic brands/therapy areas and key markets, including clear documentation of assumptions and levels of confidence/robustness.
Confidently defend forecast approach, methodology, assumptions, and output to cross‑functional teams.
Ensure objectivity and robustness by identifying right data sources and applying industry‑leading modelling approaches with sensitivity analyses to support opportunity and risk management.
Demonstrate a high level of understanding of integration points with other teams.
Develop new product introduction volume forecasts for short‑term and long‑term planning.
Support continuous improvement of forecasting capabilities, advising on risk/opportunity/uncertainty and methodology including statistical forecasting, simulations, Monte Carlo, ranges, and data set expertise.
Leverage appropriate information into forecast via a variety of tools and sources.
For Global Forecasting roles: develop new forecast models as business needs arise (pipeline/early assets, LCM, business development).
For US Forecasting roles: participate in monthly S&OP process, submit volumes and develop weekly/monthly/yearly models and conversions.
Educational requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
Experience
6+ years of direct Pharmaceutical forecasting experience with in‑depth knowledge of forecasting techniques, models and approaches.
Good understanding of multiple disease areas, including rare diseases/OBU and patient treatment pathways.
Experience integrating insights from market research and secondary data into forecast assumptions.
Experience using data sources and analytics in the Pharmaceutical industry, e.g., IQVIA, claims data, epidemiological data. For US forecasting, experience with TRx/NBRx/NRx data and methodologies.
Strong analytical expertise; excellent Excel, financial modelling and forecasting skills.
Ability to build trusted relationships across Marketing, Analytics, Operations, and Technology.
Proven problem‑solving and continuous improvement experience.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Preferred
Advanced degree (PhD, MBA, Masters).
Knowledge and experience in sophisticated statistical forecast methodologies and applied AI/ML/automation.
Experience with Power Apps, specifically PowerBI.
For US forecasting, proven understanding of US Market Access and gross‑to‑net.
