What you'll do The Group Product Manager is a strategic people leader responsible for developing, planning, and managing complex products and programs with broad scope and high impact. This role leads a team of Product Managers, ensuring seamless technology and business transitions while maintaining day-to-day operations. The position requires a blend of leadership, strategic thinking, and hands‑on product management expertise.

Day to day, you'll

Define and drive product strategy for H&R Block’s flagship digital experiences, including mobile apps and personalization features

Lead and develop a team of Product Managers, fostering a high‑performing, collaborative environment

Translate strategy into execution, ensuring product outcomes align with business and customer needs

Manage product budgets and resources, including prioritization of initiatives for maximum impact

Champion customer‑centric practices, leveraging continuous discovery and frequent user research

Oversee product lifecycle management, from discovery through delivery, using modern SDLC best practices (Agile, Lean, DevOps)

Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions

Promote best practices in product development and discovery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience

Work Experience

8+ years in product management, including leadership of multiple PMs and complex product portfolios

Strong business leadership and financial acumen

Expertise in Agile, Lean, and DevOps methodologies

Advanced communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels

Ability to manage budgets and develop business cases (cost/benefit analysis, NPV)

Strategic thinking combined with operational execution capabilities

Pay Range Information The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job‑related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short‑term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.

Pay Range $125,500.00 - $200,800.00 /yr.
