Are you committed to ensuring every child reads at or above grade level, yet frustrated by ineffective systems that fail to unlock their potential? Alpha School is demonstrating that literacy transformation does not demand 6‑hour traditional school days. Our 2‑Hour Learning framework combines AI‑adaptive technology with skilled teaching to produce accelerated reading progress. Your role: create and implement workshops that generate measurable improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, then support us in expanding this program to campuses across the country.
This role is not about administrative lesson planning. It centers on evidence‑based teaching, technology partnership, and constructing a reading system that serves thousands of students effectively.
What You Will Be Doing
Conducting adaptive reading workshops focused on phonics, comprehension, and fluency development
Creating personalized motivational experiences through gamified literacy achievement markers
Reviewing student performance data to improve instructional methods and generate practical insights
Partnering with engineering teams to assess and optimize AI literacy platforms based on real classroom outcomes
Building scalable, AI‑supported educational content that helps early elementary students reach grade‑level reading proficiency
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree plus advanced certification in reading pedagogy (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience conducting small‑group reading interventions with early elementary students
Capable of evaluating reading levels, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction independently of pre‑packaged curricula
Comfortable using AI/adaptive learning platforms and adjusting instruction based on student interaction patterns
Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
