IT Applications Business Analyst
Contract, Contract-to-Hire

The IT Applications Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between manufacturing business stakeholders and IT teams, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements for application-focused initiatives. This role supports the analysis, implementation, enhancement, and ongoing improvement of enterprise and plant-level applications used across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate brings a solid IT foundation, hands-on business analysis experience, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Qualifications
US Citizenship is required for Federal Government project work
At least 5 years of total experience in Information Technology, with 2 or more years in a Business Analyst or similar role
Experience supporting IT applications within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Hands‑on experience gathering and documenting requirements for enterprise applications
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and hybrid SDLC delivery models
Experience working with enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, PLM, quality, supply chain, or related applications
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business users
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Key Responsibilities
Partner with manufacturing, operations, quality, supply chain, and business stakeholders to understand processes, pain points, and application needs
Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for IT applications projects and enhancements
Create and maintain requirements documentation, process flows, use cases, and user stories
Serve as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and aligned throughout the project lifecycle
Support Agile and hybrid delivery models by participating in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and review sessions
Assist with solution evaluation, system configuration validation, and design reviews
Support user acceptance testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution coordination, and defect tracking
Help manage scope changes by assessing impact, clarifying requirements, and supporting prioritization decisions
Collaborate with project managers to support timelines, dependencies, and delivery milestones
Contribute to continuous improvement of business processes and application usage within manufacturing operations
