Pay Range $32.45 - $48.70
Education / Experience Bachelor’s degree with two years’ experience in supply chain, materials management or logistics management required.
Essential Functions
Establishes operating policies and procedures for general stores, ensures security, safety and delivery standards are met. Protects self, co‑workers and facility by following approved policies and procedure to ensure employee and patient safety and a safe work environment.
Develops short and long‑term plans to upgrade technology, automation and equipment.
Ensures the accuracy of receiving, storage and distribution of all inventory and direct outside purchases.
Establishes safeguards to protect materials from damage, unnecessary obsolescence due to poor stock rotation and theft.
Demonstrates responsibility for personal development by participating in continuing education offerings and department/hospital activities.
Attends educational meetings and workshops, reads professional publications, establishes personal networks, and participates in professional societies.
Coordinates general stores processes and serves as the liaison with the nursing units personnel and other staff on the Winston‑Salem campus and affiliates.
Assumes responsibility for planning, developing, implementing and managing the budgetary process for area of responsibility. Able to understand and explain any budget variances.
Creates policies and procedures for all related workflow activities and performance. Trains department personnel on policies.
Completes departmental analyses as requested by Director utilizing various analytical tools. Analyzes material flow and recommends actions to improve productivity and efficiency.
Presents findings and recommendations in timely manner. Manages all departmental projects utilizing various project management tools.
Understands and fully maximizes use of ERP system. Drives department toward increased utilization and functionality.
Develops and maintains strong customer service relationships. Ensures issues are quickly and appropriately resolved and makes internal process changes when necessary.
Maintains metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, and training and safety records.
