An aerospace manufacturing company located in Auburn, WA is hiring a Buyer to support indirect and direct procurement for our operations and engineering teams. The role involves sourcing, purchasing, and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality materials and services.
This is a 6‑month contract‑to‑hire, fully onsite position with a working schedule of 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM PST, Monday‑Friday. Pay ranges from $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Manage RFPs, purchase orders, and supplier needs.
Source and assess vendors, negotiate terms, and resolve conflicts.
Collaborate with engineering teams on procurement for new product proposals.
Ensure compliance with regulatory purchasing and transportation standards.
Support continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.
Maintain and update the approved vendor list and necessary certifications.
Occasionally physically move parts; employee must be able to move around to the correct parts department.
Qualifications
1–3 years of procurement/buying experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills to comfortably speak with vendors and internal managers.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing is highly preferred.
