Role:
Storeroom Coordinator
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Maintenance and Operations leadership team, the Storeroom Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the organization, inventory control, sourcing and distribution of materials, tools and supplies for the plant. This role ensures accurate inventory levels, efficient storeroom operations, timely support to maintenance and contractors, and strong vendor management to support uninterrupted plant operations.

Job Responsibilities
Sourcing & Purchasing
Order all goods for the plant excluding manufacturing raw materials
Monitor and manage Min/Max inventory levels to ensure availability of regularly used items
Negotiate pricing contracts and freight terms with vendors
Review, issue and manage purchase requisitions through Maximo and/or JDE
Receiving
Receive all plant goods excluding raw materials
Inspect, verify, organize and stock all storeroom parts upon receipt
Storeroom Management
Maintain housekeeping and organization standards (5S) within the storeroom
Ensure accurate inventory control while issuing parts to end users
Maintain storeroom security and controlled access
Manage the parts criticality assessment process for new inventory items
Organize parts for ease of access and efficiency
Create and manage systems for repairable parts inventory and external repairs
Verify returned items meet specifications prior to restocking
Review and manage slow‑moving and obsolete inventory in collaboration with leadership
Inventory Control & Cycle Counts
Perform daily and monthly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
Generate cycle count reports, track KPIs and implement corrective actions
Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis prior to adjustments
Identify opportunities to improve Min/Max accuracy and extend equipment life cycles
Complete full physical inventory counts as scheduled by management
Maintenance & Contractor Support
Kit parts daily for maintenance work orders
Organize contractor parts delivered to the site
Work closely with maintenance planners to ensure timely availability of parts
Ensure all parts are correctly charged to applicable work orders
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Proven experience managing a manufacturing plant storeroom
Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory maintenance or a related field (preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Inventory Management or equivalent experience (preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, JDE and Maximo
Forklift and scissor lift certification required
Ability to read blueprints and drawings (DNA AutoCAD)
Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to train and support others
Knowledge of production methods and resource coordination (preferred)
Experience using data and statistics to drive inventory and process improvements
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
Regular bending, stooping, reaching and stretching
Frequent walking throughout the facility
Regular computer and office equipment use
Ability to work outdoors in varying and extreme weather conditions
PPE required in plant areas (safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses; hard hat as required)
