Greenspoon Marder LLP is seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager to join our New York office. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the firm's growth while working on a national scale. While based in New York City, the position involves selective travel and remote coordination with our offices across the United States.
The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of experience in business development, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.

Business Development Strategy
Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to support the firm's growth objectives.
Identify and analyze new markets, clients, and services, with a particular emphasis on the NY/NJ region.
Client Relationship Management
Cultivate and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with attorneys and key clients.
Conduct needs assessments to tailor the firm's services to the unique requirements of clients.
Market Research and Analysis
Conduct thorough market research to monitor industry trends and assess the competitive landscape.
Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Proposal and Presentation Development
Lead the creation of compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing materials to attract and retain clients.
Collaborate closely with partners and practice groups to craft persuasive client pitches.
Networking and Outreach
Represent the firm at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to build visibility and foster relationships.
Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and referral sources.
Cross‑functional Collaboration
Work collaboratively with partners, practice groups, and marketing teams to ensure alignment of business development efforts with the firm's broader strategic goals.
Facilitate seamless internal communication to enhance client service delivery.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
Monitor and assess business development activities, tracking outcomes and return on investment.
Adjust strategies based on performance metrics and feedback to continuously improve effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, or a related field.
An MBA or Juris Doctor (JD) degree is a plus.
A minimum of eight years of experience in business development, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
A proven track record of developing and executing successful business development strategies.
Skills and Competencies
Deep understanding of the legal industry and its market dynamics.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with diverse clients and stakeholders.
Proficiency in market research, data analysis, and strategic planning.
Strong project management abilities, with a talent for managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and capable of working independently as well as within a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
