Business Development Manager - New York - 0202 Greenspoon Marder LLP is seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager to join our New York office. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the firm’s growth while working on a national scale. Based in New York City, the position involves select travel and remote coordination with our offices across the United States. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of experience in business development, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the firm’s growth, identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and enhancing our market presence. You will be an integral part of a collaborative team working across regions to achieve the firm’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to support the firm’s growth objectives.

Identify and analyze new markets, clients, and services, with emphasis on the NY/NJ region.

Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with attorneys and key clients; conduct needs assessments to tailor the firm’s services to clients’ requirements.

Conduct market research to monitor industry trends and assess the competitive landscape; provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Lead the creation of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials to attract and retain clients; collaborate with partners and practice groups to craft persuasive client pitches.

Represent the firm at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to build visibility and foster relationships; develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and referral sources.

Work with partners, practice groups, and marketing teams to align business development efforts with the firm’s broader strategic goals; facilitate seamless internal communication to enhance client service delivery.

Monitor, assess, and report on business development activities and ROI; adjust strategies based on performance metrics and feedback.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, or a related field.

MBA or Juris Doctor (JD) degree is a plus.

A minimum of eight years of experience in business development, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.

A proven track record of developing and executing successful business development strategies.

Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with diverse clients and stakeholders.

Proficiency in market research, data analysis, and strategic planning.

Strong project management abilities, with a talent for managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as within a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

The expected salary range for this position is between $135,000-$170,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
