Zappos is looking for an Ecommerce Analyst to support business analysis and reporting. This role will be responsible for collaborating across teams to develop reports, create dashboards and deliver actionable insights. The candidate will have a strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs, customer journeys and web analytics. The candidate will need to layer and compare data sources across internal platforms. The right candidate will have a passion for using data to answer business questions that are complex, dynamic, and not always clearly defined.
The role is 100% onsite in office (Madison, WI or New York).
Key job responsibilities
Maintain ongoing reporting and develop reporting capabilities to answer ad-hoc business questions
Work with internal stakeholders to capture requirements and build dashboards, reports and segments
Prepare weekly reports on business drivers and opportunities across web and app
Analyze raw data sets and conduct deep dives into site data and customer journeys
Conduct quantitative analyses that range from specific questions to open-ended questions that inform large scale strategies with the ability to determine what data is needed
Educate and empower stakeholders with tools and techniques to solve evolving business challenges
Evangelize consistent reporting practices and foster a culture of analytics across teams
Scale analytic capabilities by troubleshooting data issues, leading enhancements and driving the adoption of analytics tools
Identify opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional teams (business and tech) to implement solutions
Champion clean data by identifying data issues and assisting in data hygiene efforts
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
Experience with Excel
Experience with SQL
Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Experience leading analysis, customer segmentation and/or product behavior analysis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience within e-commerce or Retail fields
Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.
