The Infrastructure team provides AWS and Amazon.com with the compute, network and data center capacity that are the foundations of the retail and cloud businesses.

Amazon is seeking a motivated and data‑driven category manager to support the Americas data center operations space. The candidate should have strong supply chain and procurement skills, analytical and financial acumen, communication capabilities and a hands‑on passion to dive deep into processes used in our data center operations network. Additionally, the candidate must have proven skills in managing large‑scale supply chain and procurement improvement projects.

As a Category Manager, you will scale off‑site Data Center Construction and build‑out scope, collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers, drive efficiencies, reduce risks and costs, and develop mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery. You will drive results through competitive bidding, negotiation, and data‑driven market trend analysis for your category.

Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product, our business, and the competitive landscape.

Ability to see ahead comprehensively, devise a strong plan of action, and ensure execution happens on time, every time.

Ability to get things done and produce conclusive, measurable results within time commitments.

Basic Qualifications

8+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience.

8+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.

Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced consumer electronics product company.

Experience in program, project or product management, or leading product implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies.

Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction.

Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners.

Experience practicing best‑in‑class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should‑cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D insurance, and other options.
