Basic Job Functions: The Pickle Line Tandem Cold Mill Lead will take a leadership role in the department’s safety efforts and decision-making in relation to operations and maintenance of the Pickle Line Tandem Cold Mill and supporting equipment. Additionally, the PLTCM Lead will assume a leadership role in process improvement efforts, coordinating quality efforts, cost reduction and other duties.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience in cold rolling and/or pickle line operations in a sheet mill
Five years of experience in manufacturing and/or construction
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Sheet mill quality inspection experience
