Qualifications:

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent

Have a basic working knowledge of technology and database management software systems.

Have experience in accurately managing and changing data within software and working effectively with users entering data.

Have demonstrated the personal and professional characteristics necessary for working effectively with school personnel.

Purpose Statement:

To assist the Attendance Supervisor and CTE Supervisor as needed to ensure that student information is accurate in order to meet the reporting needs of the system and the State Department of Education.

Essential Functions:

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

Creates and maintains data tracking systems specific to CTE department needs/requirements (Carl Perkins, Work-Based Learning, Early Post Secondary Opportunities/Industry Credentials, Perkins Reserve grant, Innovative Schools Model grant, SPARC grant, GIVE grant, and other CTE specific grants as necessary).

Daily review and evaluation of CTE data to ensure accurate data entry.

Responds to inquiries from stakeholders in a respectful and polite manner and greets public by telephone as well as in person.

May be asked to direct telephone calls and messages to proper recipients and to personally assist district personnel with routine questions or problems.

Runs reports as asked by the Attendance Supervisor and/or CTE Supervisor.

Types memos, lists, reports, correspondence, and other materials. Performs all duties required by the Attendance Supervisor and/or CTE Supervisor.

Operates standard office machines.

Keeps accurate records, collects data, and prepares reports as required.

Ensures accuracy of specific data entered into software system that will be used for periodic/quarterly/annual state reports.

Maintains the confidentiality of reports, records, and personal experiences of a private nature regarding students, school employees and patrons.

Works with various departments of Central Office and with the various schools to be available to provide data as needed.

Assists CTE Supervisor in maintaining and keeping federal guidelines and regulations.

Maintains an orderly and business-like office.

Monitors and maintains current CTE course codes in SMS/EIS.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Attendance Supervisor and/or CTE Supervisor

Capacity and Ability Requirements:

The CTE Data Coordinator will be responsible for answering the phone, communicating with schools and the public, and record keeping. The assistant must possess computer skills (including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel), be able to learn new software quickly (EIS and Skyward), maintain confidentiality, and be highly organized. The usual job demands requires the following physical requirements: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, and physical dexterity.

Terms of Employment:

12 month (260-day contract), full time position. Hours of employment shall be those established by the District.

Salary

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District’s approved compensation plan.

Evaluation:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
