Project Manager – Shiploader Repair, Electrical, and Coatings (Port of Corpus Christi) Location:

Job Type and Duration:

Full‑Time, Project‑Based (~200 calendar days Q4 2025 – Q4 2026)

Pay Range:

$45.00/hr – $60.00/hr (competitive, based on experience)

Schedule:

10‑hour day shifts, 6 days per week

About the Project This position will oversee the Port of Corpus Christi Shiploader Overcoat and Repair Program, encompassing industrial coating applications, electrical and controls upgrades, environmental compliance, and structural coordination. The Project Manager will lead field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure full compliance with technical and environmental standards in an active marine terminal setting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate electrical, mechanical, and coating scopes, including replacement and installation of power distribution systems, conduit, MCCs, junction boxes, and shiploader control wiring.

Schedule and supervise electrical installation crews, ensuring compliance with NEC requirements.

Oversee subcontractors performing industrial coating applications in accordance with SSPC-SP6 “Commercial Blast” standards and coating manufacturer recommendations.

Manage containment, environmental controls, and coordination between trades to protect electrical systems during coating activities.

Review and approve daily coating and environmental compliance reports.

Manage all project documentation, RFIs, change orders, QA/QC inspections, and progress reporting using Procore.

Coordinate field activities across electrical, coating, and structural teams to minimize operational impact to Port operations.

Ensure strict adherence to site safety, confined space, and work‑at‑height requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Construction Management, or equivalent field experience.

7+ years’ experience managing industrial electrical and coating projects within marine or heavy infrastructure environments.
