We are a pioneer of the clean-beauty skincare Space with in-house manufacturing capabilities. As we scale, we are seeking an experienced Cosmetic Operations Manager to lead with operational excellence our manufacturing, QC and QA.
Position Summary The Cosmetic Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational activities of our skincare manufacturing, including in-house production and external laboratories management. This role ensures strict adherence to EcoCert, GMP, and clean-beauty standards while maintaining efficient production timelines, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across multiple markets.
This is a hands‑on leadership role managing our laboratory, quality control, and assembly teams, and serving as the primary operational contact for contract manufacturers, testing labs, and certification bodies.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Manufacturing
Oversee daily operations of the in‑house production lab and assembly areas
Manage production scheduling, batch execution, labeling, and packaging coordination
Ensure all manufacturing deadlines are met for both internal and external production
Support lab layout improvements in accordance with GMP and EcoCert requirements
External & Contract Manufacturing
Manage relationships with our contract manufacturers and outside laboratories
Coordinate production timelines, specifications, and documentation with external partners
Ensure external labs maintain certification status and comply with company quality standards
Review and approve batch records, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and quality documentation
Quality Control and Assurance, GMP & EcoCert Compliance
Develop, implement, and maintain the company Quality Control program
Ensure adherence to all GMP policies and EcoCert requirements
Maintain supplier qualification programs and approved raw material lists
Generate, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Oversee batch documentation, traceability, deviations, and corrective actions
Regulatory Compliance
Compile and maintain Product Information Files (PIFs)
Manage or support cosmetic registrations in the EU, UK, Canada, and other markets as needed
Support FDA registration and compliance with MoCRA and OTC products, as applicable
Facilitate Free Sale Certificates and regulatory documentation
Ensure ingredient, labeling, and claims alignment with clean‑beauty standards
Testing, Certification & Audits
Coordinate stability, safety, clinical, and consumer testing
Facilitate EcoCert, reef‑safe, and sustainability certification audits
Maintain audit readiness and certification compliance
Submit, review and approve purchase requisitions for certified raw materials, components and packaging
Manage relationships with our raw material, components and packaging suppliers
Monitor inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure compliant material usage
Support responsible sourcing and supplier transparency initiatives
Manage and mentor Laboratory, Quality Control, and Assembly teams
Ensure staff training, safety, cleanliness, and GMP/EcoCert compliance
Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and sustainability
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred)
5+ years of experience in cosmetic or skincare operations
Good working knowledge of GMP, EcoCert, and cosmetic regulatory requirements
Experience managing contract manufacturers and external labs
Experience managing raw materials, components and packaging suppliers
Excellent organizational, documentation, and leadership skills
