Job Description The Analyst will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the Purchase Requisition (PR) and Purchase Order (PO) processes. This position ensures compliance with procurement policies, drives operational efficiency, and supports strategic sourcing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in procurement operations and process improvement, and in managing a buy desk or GR/IR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) reconciliation.

Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end PR/PO lifecycle, ensuring timely creation, approval, and processing.

Validate purchase requisitions for accuracy, compliance, and budget alignment.

Monitor PO status and resolve discrepancies with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Act as the primary point of contact for procurement requests, providing guidance on policies and procedures.

Manage transactional buying activities and ensure adherence to negotiated contracts.

Monitor and reconcile GR/IR accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Investigate and resolve mismatches between goods receipts and invoices in collaboration with Accounts Payable and vendors.

Identify gaps and inefficiencies in procurement workflows; recommend and implement improvements.

Support automation initiatives and system enhancements (SAP or similar ERP).

Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.

Prepare and analyze procurement metrics, providing insights to leadership for decision-making.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

3–5 years of experience in procurement operations, buy desk management, or PR/PO processing.

Strong understanding of GR/IR processes and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with change management and business process improvement.

Proficiency in project management and invoicing.

Familiarity with Oracle and/or SAP systems.

Great communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Overland Park, KS.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75,000.00 - $81,000.00/yr.

Medical Benefits, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending Accounts – FSA, 401(k) – eligible to participate immediately upon hire. Will match the first 3% at 100% in the form of pre‑tax or Roth, and the next 2% at 50%. Paid Time Off – 15–20 hrs – 23–22 hrs based on tenure.
