Quality Enhancement Specialist - Remote/Hybrid Schedule
Reports to:
Quality Enhancement Director
Location:
1603 Court Street, Syracuse (hybrid after introductory period)
Pay Rate:
$20.52 - $23.60/hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
We are looking for a proactive employee to facilitate an ongoing regulatory compliance and quality improvement program for all agency departments.
Responsibilities
Maintain knowledge of Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) 624 regulations and conduct incident investigations, as assigned
Maintain knowledge of Office of Mental Health (OMH) 524 regulations and conduct incident investigations, as assigned
Conduct compliance and HIPAA breach investigations, as assigned
Serve as back up to the Quality Enhancement (QE) Director for initial incident notification and investigation assignment, as needed
Conduct observations of various services to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to quality standards
Review other Agency systems, i.e. training, incidents, personal allowances, etc. as part of the internal audit process
Assist with monitoring participant satisfaction in programs
Assist with implementing a system to measure quality initiative/outcomes in programs
Coordinate dissemination of new material to appropriate staff
Serve as a back-up trainer for RIT, Agency Orientation, CPR/First Aid, and other identified training as requested
Facilitate positive communication with other departments and accept assignments in other areas as requested by supervisor
Work collaboratively with participants, families, program staff, co-workers, and supervisors
Provide person-centered, quality, services
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as with company policies
Perform Other Duties as Assigned
Education / Experience A minimum of three years working with people with disabilities may be substituted for education. Associate's degree in a human services field, plus two years of experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Bachelor's degree in a human services field, plus one year of experience working with people with disabilities preferred. Basic word processing and e-mail skills required. At least one year of experience working in an OPWDD regulated program, preferred.
Conditions of Employment Must have a valid NYS Driver License in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy and transportation necessary to meet program needs. Must respect confidentiality.
