JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director, Program Management Organization, the Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects and driving the development and delivery of high-quality products. The Program Manager will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables and be responsible for overall execution through the Doble Program Management Process. Their strong leadership and communication skills will be crucial as they coordinate resources, manage timelines, and mitigate program risks. The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record in project or program management and have knowledge of product development methodologies. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion under a particular strategic initiative or industry vertical or product line. Develop professional project management standards and ensure these are implemented and maintained. Lead the creation and implementation of projects for forward planning period ensuring delivery of agreed projects to maximum benefit. Work closely with project sponsors, cross‑functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives. Create an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) with inputs from the cross‑functional team. Manage project teams for optimal return‑on‑investment and coordinate cross‑project initiatives. Identify key requirements needed from cross‑functional teams and external vendors. Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives. Lead program review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Monitor and report on spend to budget and status, specifically calculating overall project cost, Estimate to Complete, and Estimate at Completion. Identify, analyze, evaluate, and overcome project risks to budget or schedule, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders. Communicate with the team and drive all members to complete delegated tasks. Report and escalated project risks to budget or schedule to management as needed and recommend appropriate corrective action. Develop a budget and operating plan for the program. Meet with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions. Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Offer Management teams on roadmaps, product business case, and strategy. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by management. Evaluate a candidate for a position on the project team. Manage project change management of a cost or schedule overrun, a quality issue, or a scope creep & project risk mitigation. QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education and experience. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
At least 4-8 years of Program Management experience successfully managing multiple large projects in a technical environment. Must have an understanding of the fundamentals of project management. Experience with MS-Office, particularly strong skills in Project, Word, and Excel. Experience in Scrum and tracking of sprint schedules. HELPFUL CERTIFICATIONS (Preferred)
Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) Scrum Master Certification ITIL certification Equivalent Certification outside of the US PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required)
Experience in High Voltage monitoring equipment design, application, and implementation. Basic technical understanding of test equipment product project design and functionality. Experience in working in any of the following industries is desired; Electric Utility or Alternative Energy systems, Military (Technical or Project specialties), Commercial/Industrial Electrical, Software Development, Datacenter applications. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Significant experience and strong delivery record in enterprise technology project management and associated resource management. Experience of managing and developing diverse project enterprise technology project management teams with different skills sets and levels of experience. Proven practical experience and qualification in an accepted project management methodology. Significant experience of delivering projects in partnership with third party suppliers. Good knowledge of industry technology trends and comfortable with technical detail/concepts. Ability to grasp technical briefs quickly, draw out information from technically focused resources and translate technical to business as needed. Proven proposal writing experience. Experience with MS-Office, particularly strong skills in Word, Visio, and Excel. Hands on experience with project management software, like MS Project. A high degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Strong organization skills to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and work independently in a deadline‑driven, fast‑paced team environment. Proven ability to write professional reports, business correspondence and project plans. Demonstrated an ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Skills to proactively communicate project status and issues. Excellent written and oral English communications skills. The skills to coordinate the work and activities of others through influence and collaboration. A history of developing specific goals and planning to prioritize, organize, and accomplish a project. Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and deal with a diverse set of problem. Ability to respond well under pressure, solve problems with innovative solutions. A history to consistently meet deadlines. Self‑starter qualities. Analytical and data driven skills. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills to validate the requirements/scope of a project and present information to all levels of the organization. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
