Position Details Hourly Rate:
$80 – $85/hour
Job Description The Mobile Specialist is responsible for the implementation, configuration, testing, and support of
Maximo Mobile within the MAS 9.x environment
to enable field-based operations for Staten Island Ferry personnel. This role focuses on delivering secure, reliable, and user-friendly mobile solutions across multiple device types and operating systems while supporting offline functionality, synchronization, and integration with enterprise asset management workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, configure, and deploy Maximo Mobile applications for iOS, Android, and Windows devices in accordance with DOT security and operational requirements.
Configure mobile workflows to support work management, inventory, preventive maintenance, service requests, and inspection activities.
Implement and test offline data synchronization, ensuring reliability in disconnected or low-connectivity environments.
Configure authentication, authorization, and device security policies in coordination with DOT and IBM cloud teams.
Test mobile applications across supported devices and operating systems; troubleshoot client-side and synchronization issues.
Support integration of barcode and RFID scanning with Maximo Mobile to enable real-time inventory and asset tracking.
Collaborate with functional consultants to align mobile workflows with business processes and operational needs.
Assist with UAT activities related to mobile functionality and support end-user training efforts.
Provide post–go-live mobile support and issue resolution.
Qualifications
3–5+ years of experience implementing Maximo Mobile or similar EAM mobile solutions.
Hands‑on experience with MAS 9.x Mobile framework and mobile deployment best practices.
Preferred Experience
Public-sector or transportation field operations.
Experience supporting offline‑capable mobile applications for maintenance and inspection crews.
