Business Development Engineer – DACH
to spearhead growth across German-speaking markets. The role is
based out of the companys Munich office, which serves as a regional office and representative presence
for the DACH region. While Munich acts as the formal base and coordination point, the position is not designed as a desk-based role. Success in this role is driven by active market presence, customer proximity, and on-site engagement. You will act as the strategic lead for winning high-impact service projects, combining senior-level business development responsibility with strong technical insight. In this role, you shape solutions for demanding, project-driven clients and build long-term partnerships that support the companys expansion in DACH. What Youll Do Drive Market Growth Lead business development activities across the DACH region, with a primary focus on Germany. Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities related to industrial automation, intralogistics, HVAC, and related technical services. Build a Strong Pipeline Secure long-term projects and framework agreements with EPCs, system integrators, and major industrial clients. Leverage market intelligence and professional networks to maintain a robust and sustainable sales pipeline. Shape Solutions Work closely with engineering, procurement, and site teams to define project scope, timelines, and service models. Translate customer requirements into scalable, competitive service solutions. Technical & Solution Leadership Act as a trusted advisor on complex technical installations. Understand customer requirements related to automation and building systems, and position multidisciplinary service teams for installation, commissioning, and on-site support. Collaborate Internally Coordinate with internal engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure commercial commitments are aligned with delivery capabilities and quality standards. Cultivate Relationships Develop long-term partnerships with key accounts and ecosystem players across the automation and HVAC landscape. Serve as the primary commercial interface, building credibility that leads to repeat and expanded business. Your Profile Industry Expertise Background in engineering, industrial automation, intralogistics, or HVAC, gained through academic training or hands-on professional experience. A technical degree or equivalent experience is highly valued. 5+ years of experience in B2B business development or technical sales, ideally within industrial services or project-driven engineering environments, with a proven ability to secure complex, multi-stakeholder projects. Self-directed and accountable, with a strong sense of ownership for your territory. Comfortable operating autonomously and driving growth in a competitive market. Strategic & Technical Acumen Able to engage senior decision-makers while also navigating technical discussions, effectively bridging commercial and engineering perspectives. Communication & Mobility Native-level German and professional English are required. Willingness to travel regularly across the DACH region. You are based in or near Munich, using the local office as a regional base while remaining highly active in the market.
