Warehouse Associate (San Luis Obispo)
Join Precision Door Service as a Warehouse Associate and play a key role in the efficient, safe, and effective receipt and storage of inventory. You’ll coordinate between technicians, vendors, and office staff to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Receive, warehouse, and distribute inventory following established processes.
Conduct 3‑way administrative match of received orders.
Inspect shipments for damage or incompleteness.
Coordinate will‑call pick‑ups and RGA/RMA procedures.
Resolve miscellaneous logistics issues and provide problem‑solving support.
Perform physical counts and reconcile data to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Maintain technician truck stock and inventory usage reports.
Assist managers, technicians, and installers as needed.
Stage doors in advance and support loading onto technician/installer trucks.
Deliver miscellaneous parts to technicians/installers.
Inspect all warehouse equipment and vehicles, ensuring proper function.
Help set up layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
Coordinate fleet vehicle repair.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
3+ years of warehousing experience.
Forklift experience.
Current valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work as a team.
Strong computer skills and inventory control skills.
Must possess a neat appearance.
Random drug testing may be required.
Physical Requirements
Medium to heavy work – lift up to 100 pounds and carry for up to 50 ft. Use appropriate support equipment to lift and move greater amounts.
Manual dexterity in both hands for hand‑tool use.
Excellent verbal communication to convey detailed or important spoken instructions.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.
Noise levels may be high when operating power equipment.
Working Conditions The work environment described here is representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employees may be exposed to outside weather conditions when transporting materials. Proper safety equipment is required to prevent injury to self or others.
Pay Range: $19-$23 DOE
