Team Leader Prod (RTE ES) – Butterball

Your role will support the Supervisor in overseeing daily production activities, ensuring that tasks, assignments, and rotations are followed for efficient and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities
Follow direction of Production Supervisor to assign and instruct personnel on daily production duties.
Observe equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues.
Provide accurate and timely feedback to the supervisor regarding any issues or problems that may arise during daily production.
Assist in coordinating the daily set‑up of equipment so the line runs on time.
Complete required checks and measurements and record them accurately.
Assist in training and developing staff to ensure a quality product.
Assist with new hire ergonomic evaluations and performance evaluations.
Position required to work before department start time to assist with area set‑ups.
Maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
Work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience)
At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Pass a background check, drug screen, and pre‑employment physical.
Basic math and typing skills.
Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as required.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Follow all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
Communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions and policies.
Work in a team atmosphere and possess good leadership skills.
Have working knowledge of all positions on the line.
Perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Some positions may require the ability to read, write, and/or speak English; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Physical Demands The employee may regularly be required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions & Travel Requirements
Work performed in a food processing plant with high noise level, storage coolers/facilities.
Work in damp and cold environments for long periods of time.
Work extended hours if needed; standing for long periods and operating processing equipment.
Wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment.
Work with raw and/or cooked meat.
Noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 dBA and require hearing protection.
