Job Purpose
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for members, guests, vendors, and visitors entering the club. This role is responsible for creating a warm, professional, and efficient front-of-house experience by managing check-ins, answering inquiries, directing foot traffic, and supporting administrative needs. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and dependable, with a strong commitment to service and maintaining the welcoming environment our clubs are known for.
Responsibilities
Greet members and guests promptly, professionally, and courteously upon arrival.
Manage check-ins for tee times, lessons, events, and club access.
Answer incoming calls, respond to questions, and route inquiries to the appropriate departments.
Provide accurate information regarding club amenities, schedules, policies, and upcoming events.
Maintain an organized, clean, and well-presented front desk and lobby area.
Assist with point-of-sale transactions, including merchandise purchases and guest fees, as applicable.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, filing, and maintaining daily logs.
Communicate effectively with Golf Operations, Food & Beverage, Events, and other departments to support smooth guest experiences.
Handle sensitive or confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall club operations.
Qualifications
Previous customer service or front-desk experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, club, or recreational environments.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively in person and by phone.
Professional, polished, and welcoming demeanor with consistent attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic proficiency with computers, scheduling systems, and point-of-sale platforms.
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Must meet age requirements for handling transactions as required by state or local regulations.
Working Conditions
Schedule varies based on club hours and business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Frequent periods of standing at the front desk and interacting with guests.
Occasional movement throughout the clubhouse to support operations.
May involve handling small items, carrying light supplies, or completing minor organizational tasks.
Work environment includes regular guest interaction and moderate noise levels typical of an active club setting.
