We are seeking an organized and reliable Bookkeeper for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Tempe, AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping functions to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. This role requires proficiency in Sage software and the ability to pass a background check.
Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end close processes
+ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
+ Prepare invoices, deposit records, and handle payroll functions as needed
+ Reconcile bank and credit card statements
+ Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting
+ Support year-end audit processes and gather relevant documentation
+ Manage office documentation and maintain organized filing systems
Software Requirements:
+ Proficiency in Sage accounting software is required
+ Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is preferred
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or additional accounting coursework preferred
+ 2+ years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience
