About the Role
The Company is in search of a General Counsel to join its senior management team. The successful candidate will be a seasoned attorney with a minimum of 20 years' professional legal experience, including a background in government contracting and a strong understanding of procurement rules, contract negotiations, and audit processes. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in an in-house legal position, ideally with experience as a General Counsel, and a focus on supporting the public sector. The General Counsel will be responsible for providing practical legal advice, managing business risk, and ensuring the organization's long-term success through strategic legal support.
Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should possess a JD from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing of the bar in at least one state. The role requires a candidate with a strong corporate and transactional background, including experience in M&A, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex business environment. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and senior leadership team, and will be adept at strengthening board-level legal support.
