About the Role

The Company is seeking an Interim CFO with a specialization in carve-outs to lead the financial separation and establish the finance function for a recent PE-backed manufacturing and assembly business. This role is highly technical and execution-focused, requiring a proven track record in complex corporate separations and deep expertise in technical accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the full carve-out cycle, developing and implementing a detailed carve-out strategy, and navigating the technical complexities of the separation process. Key deliverables include managing the transitional services agreement, standing up the standalone finance function, and providing expert oversight in technical accounting, particularly in revenue recognition and percentage of completion accounting.

Applicants for the Interim CFO position must have a Bachelor's degree, a CPA, and at least 20 years of experience, with a strong preference for those with a background in manufacturing or assembly. The role demands a professional with multiple successes as a carve-out CFO, extensive hands-on experience in leading complex corporate carve-outs, and a proven ability to thrive in a high-change, private equity-backed environment. The ideal candidate will also have a robust carve-out game plan ready for immediate implementation, be adept at optimizing lean operations, and possess the skills to manage financial reporting, cash and liquidity, and audit and compliance activities. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as the Interim CFO will be expected to build and lead a multi-site finance team and act as the primary financial communicator to the new CEO, PE sponsor/board, and executives.
