Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities
Formalize lesson plans on a weekly basis for the upcoming instructional period.
Relate instructional objectives to curriculum standards and demonstrate effective decision‑making concerning instructional goals.
Determine students’ performance using informal and formal assessments and observations.
Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program.
Use a variety of instructional materials, including contextual, supplemental, teacher‑constructed, and teaching bulletin boards, as well as audio‑visual aids, hands‑on activities, discovery‑based learning, and activity‑based learning.
Maintain accurate and timely educational assessments and progress notes for all assigned students.
Train and supervise a teacher assistant within the classroom.
Meet with parents throughout the year to discuss the child’s progress.
Attend Open House, Back‑to‑School Night, Teacher In‑Service days, and all weekly staff meetings and teacher curriculum meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required (Elementary Education preferred).
Montessori Experience preferred.
National Association for the Montessori, Inc. (NAMC) certification preferred or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment.
Ability to communicate with parents effectively and professionally.
Experience with lesson planning and development.
Ability to multitask and function in an ever‑changing environment.

Salary $40,000 – $48,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and school location.
