Position Summary This position assembles generator sets and sub‑assemblies that include both standard and non‑standard product lines.

The role requires working with hand and power tools, following quality and procedural techniques, and contributing to process improvements, line efficiency, and other tasks assigned by the Line Lead or supervisor.

Key Accountabilities

Use work instructions, drawings, schematics, and equipment to perform assembly duties of medium complexity across multiple work areas (e.g., Line 1 and Large Assembly).

Cross‑train in multiple assembly areas and assist in other areas as needed.

Help train new employees on work instructions and standard work.

Develop and maintain an understanding of the products and continuously learn the principles, practices, and processes required by job changes.

Suggest and implement improvements to existing equipment, designs, or processes to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.

Contribute to improving processes, lead times, and throughput.

Recognize defective or damaged parts, incorrect sizes, faulty workmanship, and general quality issues.

Follow safety and environmental procedures and established processes and policies.

Resolve problems with supervisor assistance based on complexity.

Provide input on continuous improvement opportunities within the department.

Promote a compliance culture in the area of responsibility and uphold the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.

Perform special projects as required.

Basic Requirements

Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.

2 years of assembly experience with heavy‑duty equipment or 2 years of applicable mechanical experience.

Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to meet Assembly 1 competency assessment.

Good ability to access needed information using the SAP system.

Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Strong problem‑solving skills and adaptability to varied tasks.

Experience performing repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication and teamwork.

Quality‑and‑detail orientation and strong organizational skills.

Comfortable learning and adapting to changing technology.

Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools.

High School Diploma or GED.

Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP system.

Large equipment industrial experience.

Strong mechanical skills.
