Duties
Supervise, care for, and provide correctional treatment to inmates while guiding junior Correctional Officers.
Maintain and enhance institution security, focusing on the health and welfare of inmates, and fostering positive public relations.
Enforce facility rules and regulations to ensure judicial sanctions are executed and inmates remain securely in custody.
Authorized to carry firearms and implement necessary physical interventions, including the use of deadly force if required to maintain order.
Be prepared to work under challenging conditions, including long hours, irregular shifts, weekends, holidays, and unexpected overtime during emergencies or high-demand periods.
Utilize post orders, BOP program statements, local supplements, custodial manuals, internal communication, and team meetings to stay informed on operations and procedures.
Maintain flexibility and apply a broad knowledge base to effectively resolve issues as they arise.
