A healthcare professional is needed for a contract position as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an elementary school setting in Chicago, IL. This opportunity involves providing nursing care and health support services to school-aged children throughout the school year. Key Responsibilities: Conduct health assessments and screenings for students Manage and administer medications as prescribed Develop and implement individualized health plans for students Provide first aid and emergency care as needed Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois Experience working as a school nurse or in pediatric nursing, preferably within an elementary school environment Strong knowledge of child health, immunizations, and common school health issues Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities CPR and first aid certification Location: Chicago, Illinois Job Type: Contract, school year duration This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of students in an educational setting.
