A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) with certification as a School Nurse (CSN) to support the health and well-being of students within an elementary school setting in Chicago, IL. This contract position extends for the current school year (CSY), offering a dynamic environment to apply nursing skills focused on pediatric care and school health services. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive health assessments and first aid to students Administer medications and treatments according to physicians' orders and school policy Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions Collaborate with school staff and parents to promote a healthy learning environment Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state regulations Educate students and staff on health-related issues and preventive care Qualifications and Experience: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois Certification as a School Nurse (CSN) preferred or equivalent school nursing experience Experience working in pediatric or school health settings highly desirable Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergencies Location: Position based in an elementary school setting within Chicago, Illinois Benefits of this role include the opportunity to make a tangible difference in student health, a structured school-year schedule, and engagement with a supportive school community focused on student success.
