Responsibilities
Accurately deliver all products by bottle, case, or pallet from the delivery truck customer’s account by hand truck.
Safely operate commercial vehicle and properly conduct a pre‑ and post‑trip inspection, noting any vehicle defects.
Make an average of 20 timely deliveries a day (may deliver to more accounts during high‑volume seasons).
Verify receipt of correct order with the customer by checking product against invoice, obtaining customer signature and payment if necessary.
Ensure physical security of truck at all times.
Provide regular feedback to management regarding route changes, concerns or areas of opportunity.
Abide by DOT hours of service rules and regulations for the license type.
May utilize a smartphone for interaction with HOS software, POD invoicing and/or driver monitoring programs.
Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred, with two years of delivery experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and will occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
Current State driver’s license; ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
Valid DOT medical certification card and file appropriately with the state Motor Vehicle Department.
Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) license, as required by the state.
