Summary As a CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role at RNDC by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to our customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. You will also have the opportunity to collect non‑cash payments as necessary, contributing to the financial transactions associated with the deliveries.
In this role, you will
Properly conduct a pre‑ and post‑trip inspection, notating any vehicle defects.
Abide by the DOT hours‑of‑service rules and regulations for your license type.
Deliver invoiced products by bottle, case, pallet or hand‑stack from the delivery truck and place said merchandise into customer account.
Verify receipt of correct order with the customer by checking product type and size against the provided invoice, obtain customer signature and payment if necessary.
Ensure physical security of truck at all times.
Deliver to approximately 19 accounts daily, up to 30 during peak activity.
Cover approximately 160 miles daily, up to 300 miles during peak activity or special routes.
Possibility to work with one or more helpers.
Provide feedback to transportation management regarding route changes or concerns.
May utilize a smartphone for HOS software and/or driver monitoring programs.
What you bring to RNDC
High school diploma or GED.
Preferably two years of delivery experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Regularly lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Current Class B CDL driver’s license (Class A CDL also allowed and may be required for some locations).
Valid DOT medical certification card and timely filing with the state motor vehicle department.
ABC License, as required by the state.
