Head Coach – Men’s Lacrosse (Part-Time Position)
General Description: Bryant and Stratton College’s (Wisconsin) Athletic Department is seeking a Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach for their inaugural season 2025-2026. All sports compete at the NJCAA Division II level (scholarship offering). All coaches are responsible for the overall development and advancement of a competitive athletic program while demonstrating high moral and ethical standards and positive sportsmanship. The head coach must focus not only on excellence on the field but recognize and emphasize academic excellence in the classroom as well. The head coach, along with the athletic director, must operate within the budget to meet the team needs and enforce rules pertaining to the College, student conduct, and governing rules and regulations.
Duties Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Serve in the College Athletic Department under the supervision of the Athletic Director.
Recruit players, hold tryouts, and coach the intercollegiate Lacrosse team.
Instruct players on rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
Follow NJCAA Division II rules related to scholarship offering.
Be knowledgeable of all NJCAA Lacrosse rules, including student‑athlete eligibility requirements.
Schedule, organize, supervise, and conduct all practice sessions.
Attend practice sessions during the off‑season as allowed by the NJCAA.
Work with the Athletic Director to secure and prepare practice and game facilities.
Select assistant coaches with approval of the Athletic Director.
Schedule games and travel with the team unless alternate arrangements are approved.
Submit all budget requests to the Athletic Director.
Attend annual NJCAA Region 4 meetings if required.
Promote academic success of student‑athletes by monitoring academic performance and ensuring eligibility.
Supervise staff and student‑athletes while traveling to ensure safety and professional conduct.
Additional duties may be assigned by the Athletic Director.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
Head Lacrosse coaching experience at the high school level or above (Required).
Lacrosse coaching experience at the college level (Desired).
College recruiting experience (Desired).
First aid/CPR certification is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning, and leadership skills.
Ability to serve as a positive role model for young adults.
Familiarity with NJCAA rules and regulations (plus).
Clean driving record preferred.
