Job Overview

The Forsyth County Department of Social Services is seeking to hire a highly energetic and motivated professional with great organizational and communication skills for its Child Support Services Program. The successful candidate will interact with custodial and non-custodial parents, other caretakers, legal and judicial professionals, employers, county and state employees, and the general public to establish and enforce child support payment agreements for the care of minor children. Key Responsibilities

Use of the Automated Collection and Tracking System (ACTS), an online case management system, will be required on a daily basis. Proficient typing and data entry skills are a must. Essential Duties

Enforce civil orders, employment wage withholdings, interception of state and federal income taxes and other legal enforcement remedies. Work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and use a personal car to travel to and from the Hall of Justice. Provide testimony in court and verify all information needed. Requirements and qualifications

High school diploma or GED and at least three years of experience in eligibility, investigative, judicial, legal work or other relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for minimum qualification requirements. Outstanding organizational and computer skills preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred. Valid driver's license is required to travel to and from the courthouse. Desired Skills

Considerable knowledge of the Child Support Services Program and applicable legal procedures. Considerable ability to interview custodial and non‑custodial parents and related sources, and investigate cases. Considerable ability to organize, analyze, and summarize case information. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with custodial and non‑custodial parents, location resources, offices of the Clerk of Court, Magistrates, agency attorneys, Sheriff, other court officials, and private attorneys. Basic math skills. Ability to display professionalism.
