Job Description Position Requirements Armed Guards must complete all Level 1 and Level 2 Guard trainings and extensive firearm training including Pre‑Assignment Training, Post‑Assignment Training, and Annual Training.

Expected Responsibilities
Observe, report, and assist with de‑escalation of incidents at all client location sites.
Conduct oneself in a manner that promotes and maintains good public relations.
Create and keep accurate and complete written reports and supporting documentation of all unusual and/or important instances as soon as possible after they occur (reports are submitted via the client’s Automated Incident Report System).
Always be alert and continuously operate an effectively organized, and efficiently managed, guard service system.
Anticipate criminal acts and take remedial action:
Recognize, know, and identify regular client employees.
Recognize, know, and identify persons from the government and private sectors who repeatedly visit the premises.
Be mindful of all other persons while they are on the premises.
Furnish and maintain accurate written records as provided for in guard manuals.
Perform all duties by competent, skilled guards under capable supervision.
Know and abide by all laws pertaining to the duties.
Meet confrontations; de‑escalate commotion and disturbances with firm politeness.
Courteously direct and assist the public and others with information and guidance.
Notify law enforcement and assist in the apprehension of lawbreakers.
Except for due politeness, abstain from engaging in any personal familiarities.
Assist with performing first aid when needed.
Assist with traffic control and issue parking citations as directed by the client.
Thoroughly investigate criminal acts and report them to the proper authority within 24 hours using the client’s Automated Incident Report System.
Be guided by, comply with, and perform security guard services in accordance with company policies provided by the contractor.
Safeguard entrusted information and take appropriate action based on the information provided.
Report to the proper client authority any disclosure of information concerning an incident, act, or threat that is known to a guard.
Investigate, pursue, and endeavor to establish definitive identification of persons on client premises who commit personal injury, theft, arson, sabotage, vandalism, malicious mischief, or other illegal acts.
Comply with all client policies and applicable laws relating to sexual harassment, workplace violence, and non‑discrimination.
Qualifications
General Criteria – Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed security and 21 years of age for armed security, with the ability to perform required duties.
Citizenship – Must be a citizen of the United States or a legal alien in the United States.
Employment Verification – Must provide written references from previous employers.
Physical Fitness – Must be able to perform assigned duties without limitation.
Experience – Must have previous experience or training prepare to perform the job competently.
Registration/Licenses and Certifications – Copies of certifications (CPR, First Aid, etc.) upon request.
Valid California Driver’s License or ID Card – Must maintain a valid license or ID; contractor monitors safe driving record.
Education – High school graduate or equivalent; must read, write, and understand English and produce accurate reports.
Health Screening – Must provide TB testing, Hepatitis B vaccinations, and health exams as required by law.
Drug Screening – Must pass a drug screen within six (6) months prior to assignment.
Valid Security Guard License – Must be registered with the California DCA and Buckeye; must carry the permanent guard registration card.
License of Firearm – Must maintain a valid license to carry a firearm for armed guard services.
