Summary
Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical panels, conduits, wiring, fixtures, substations, motor controls, and control equipment in compliance with specifications, safety standards, and electrical codes. Ensures systems are safe, reliable, and accessible for future maintenance, supporting uninterrupted operation of critical hospital infrastructure. The Electrician plays a key role in patient safety and in upholding MetroHealth’s mission, vision, values, and customer service standards.
Responsibilities
Install and maintain electrical panels, conduits, wiring, fixtures, substations, motor controls, and related equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
Comply with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
Perform troubleshooting and repairs to maintain continuous operations.
Assist in ensuring patient safety and support facility operations.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalency.
Ohio Electrical Contractor’s License or Electrical Journeyman’s License.
At least 4 years of commercial or industrial electrician experience (preferably 8 years).
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read and use blueprints.
Solid problem‑solving and judgment skills.
Good interpersonal skills and basic math.
Independent work ability with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
Willingness to adjust schedule for operational coverage.
Ability to interact effectively with diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Benefits
Competitive compensation; $90,000–$110,700 annually.
Full-time position, 80 hours biweekly.
