GeoQuip, Inc. is seeking
2 highly skilled mechanics
with experience working on heavy equipment for our 12‑acre facility in Chesapeake, Virginia. The mechanics will be responsible for maintenance and repairs (as needed) of our HPSI vibratory hammers, GeoQuip diesel hammers and other pile driving equipment.
The ideal candidate excels at diagnosing problems and solving them in an efficient manner. A strong background in diesel engines, hydraulic systems and large‑scale construction equipment is required.
Applicants should have at least 5 years of mechanic experience and own their own tools. Automotive mechanics with little experience working on heavy equipment are discouraged from applying.

Responsibilities
Check‑in and inspection of equipment when it is returned from rent. We photograph the condition of each piece returned and document all items precisely.
Thoroughly, safely follow detailed checklists to prepare equipment for future job use.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our expansive rental fleet of pile driving equipment.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working order at job sites.
Operate all machinery and power tools safely and efficiently.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for various job sites.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities and inventory.
Provide guidance and training to other team members and customers.
Customer satisfaction is our primary goal.
Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to repair and maintain equipment.
Experience with forklifts and cranes is a plus.
Knowledge of heavy equipment, hydraulics and diesel engines.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required.
Excellent problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and customers.
Schedule
Monday through Friday.
7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with one hour lunch break.
